How much does it cost to join?

The subscription funds your child's annual membership fee for the Scout Association (including insurance); rent for the hall; programme resources and hire fees; badges for your uniform; group bills (electricity, website etc) and maintenance and purchase of equipment.

Is secondhand uniform available?

Barton St David Scout Group does not hold any second hand uniform but you can ask at the District Scout Shop or search online on sites such as e-Bay. 

Will my child be able to achieve badges?

Yes.  The Barton St David Scout Group encourages the young people to work towards a wide variety of badges and awards. Please click here to see information on the Scout Association website about Beaver badges, Cub badgesScout badges and Explorer badges.

Have the leaders been trained?

All leaders are warranted, have DBS (CRB) disclosures and have up-to-date training in first aid, child protection and scouting skills.  Activities are risk-assessed and The Barton St David Scout Group is fully insured.  Please click here to read more about us

Will my child be insured when on scouting activities? 

Yes. All members are covered under the Scout Association insurance policy.
